I have worked in the Social Services field for over 30 years, with a focus on the impacts and the healing of trauma since 2012. Throughout these years, I have participated in ongoing professional development relating to trauma, grief, loss, and intimate partner violence, and provided pro bono counselling services within my local and church communities.

My extensive work volunteering with Victim Services as a Crisis Responder and Team Leader allowed me the privilege of sitting alongside survivors in their most vulnerable moments. It also offered me a glimpse into the lives of our other heroes, the First Responders who are often the first ones offering safety and healing in those traumatic moments. My passion is to provide the ongoing trauma therapy needed for our First Responders as well as those who have experienced the life-changing event through body-oriented therapy to restore full health and wholeness.

My training and experience has provided me with insight into how trauma impacts mental health and addiction, and the hope and healing that I can offer to individuals who struggle in these areas. My Bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Social Work is nearing completion and I am humbled by the learning that has been offered to me.

I love working with teens and young adults who are coping with and navigating life challenges and where they fit in their world as they make friend, career and life-changing decisions. I enjoy working with moms with postpartum anxiety and depression, and with parents around parenting issues so that they can change harmful intergenerational patterns.
